ISG in Hong Kong is honoured to have received a gold award in the category of “Best Refurbishment and Maintenance Contractor in Occupational Safety and Health” during the 19th Construction Safety Forum and Award Presentation held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 6th July 2018.

Jointly organised by the Occupational Safety and Health Council, Labour Department and several other organisations in the construction industry, the award offers recognition to companies adopting best practices in occupational health and safety at construction sites.

Our recently completed hospitality project, Yan Toh Heen at InterContinental Hong Kong, was shortlisted for the competition. In May, a judging panel consisting of governmental officials visited the construction site for inspection, and ISG briefed them of its safety policies.

In keen competition with over 20 entries from other well-known industry players, ISG impressed the judging panel with a well-organised safety plan and risk assessment, good housekeeping, full personal protective equipment (PPE) and secure equipment used on the construction site.

Proud of the tremendous achievement, managing director of ISG in Hong Kong, Tim Threlkeld, commented: “Safety has always been a top priority for ISG. Kudos to our project teams who consistently work hard to ensure safety across every site, giving our customers a peace of mind and gaining their trust.”

“The prestigious accreditation from the judging panel leaves a lasting impact for ISG to further promote occupational safety and health in our workplaces. We strive to be the role model with the highest level of safety consciousness within the local construction industry.”
