ISG’s role on this refurbishment project was to strategically plan and manage the renovation works. This was done through concept design development, strategic planning of the pre-construction and renovation construction works, risk management, construction logistics, project cost planning and budgetary control, interfacing with hotel operator to facilitate guests’ experiences during the works, and implementation and control of the construction works on site. All of this was done whilst maximizing operational revenue during the works.
The complete renovation works of the project were carried out over a 14-month construction period. As the works involved significant demolition and construction fit out and finishes during a live hotel operational environment, and restricted site conditions and access, a strategic detailed planning exercise had to be carried out and implemented by ISG prior to any renovation works commencing.
